YOGA WITH LES

My goal is to help women
build strength,
move with confidence
and feel good in their bodies through yoga.
ABOUT ME
For many years, becoming a yoga teacher was something I dreamed about. Then, at the beginning of 2022, I stopped asking “Should I?”and started asking myself “What is stopping me?”
That was the moment I decided to take the leap.
I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Alliance, and I've been lucky enough to teach both online and in person ever since.
I've practised yoga for over 15 years, and what keeps me coming back to my mat is how much more yoga offers than simply the physical practice. It's a chance to move, breathe, become more aware of your body and mind, and take some much-needed time for yourself.
My classes now have a strong focus on strength, mobility, movement and confidence, alongside the grounding benefits of breathwork and relaxation. I particularly love incorporating light weights and resistance bands into my Rise Strong classes to help women discover just how strong and capable their bodies can be.
I've also completed specialist training in Menopause Yoga and Menopause Strength & Longevity with the amazing Petra Coveney. This has deepened my understanding of women's changing bodies and strengthened my passion for helping women build strength, confidence and resilience at every stage of life.
Outside of yoga, I'm a Human Insights Lecturer at Ulster University, where I explore areas including emotional intelligence, self-awareness and human behaviour. These ideas naturally find their way into my yoga teaching too.
I don't believe yoga needs to be intimidating, complicated or about being the most flexible person in the room.
It's your practice. Your body. Your journey.
Come as you are, work at your own level and leave feeling stronger.
Namaste,
Les x
